YOU are their HOPE for a BETTER LIFE

Together, we can make a difference. Today is the day YOU help save a life.

Humane Society Tennessee Valley has an extensive geographic reach transferring at risk animals from shelters in our region to our shelter in Knoxville. We proudly partner with more than 50 overcrowded shelters and rescues in East Tennessee and beyond. The lack of support in the geographical area we cover includes some of the poorest in the state. The lack of affordable veterinary care results in rural shelters seeing a record number of medical cases. Human Society Tennessee Valley is transferring in animals in need of dentals to ease their pain, orthopedic surgery to walk again, treatment for heartworm and upper respiratory infections and more. Your donation today immediately impacts our mission and supports our vision for the future of animals in our own backyard.

Humane Society Tennessee Valley is dedicated to providing lifesaving programs and resources to enrich the lives of people and companion animals in the communities we serve. Founded in 1885 as the first animal shelter in the State of Tennessee and the first no-kill shelter in Knoxville we've been saving lives for 138 years! Located on Bearden Hill, we are regionally focused with an extensive geographic reach, serving 33 counties in East Tennessee and beyond that ask us for help when they reach capacity and have no more space for incoming animals.

As a non-profit, 501 (c) (3) organization, we depend upon the support of donors like you to come together to help us save more lives. "Community support is critical to providing a better future for our animals, we cannot make an impact on people and their pets in our community without you” says Constance Paras, CAWA, Executive Director.

Our successful care of the animals at Humane Society Tennessee Valley is rooted in the community, with all of YOU. There is still so much more work to be done on behalf of abandoned animals in our own backyard. Please consider a monthly or a one-time donation to help us meet the needs of our animals while we help them find their forever homes. We cannot do this without you. Please join us and help save a life!
